        Sports are an integral part of Wynberg-Allen School. The school has always been known for its excellence in sports.  All students are expected to play sports regularly. Sports are considered as important as academics at Wynberg-Allen School. Equal opportunities for all are provided. Our school teams regularly participate at district, state and national levels. Wynberg-Allen School provides the student with the platform to grow and excel in sports and organizes various inter-school events.  

          • Basketball

          • Basketball is not a sport. It is an art, one that must be mastered to succeed. It is a major sport played at Wynberg-Allen. We have a wooden furnished basketball court. The Sports Department organises many tournaments throughout the year which include Inter-house, Inter-class as well as Inter-school Tournaments. Every year, many students from our school participate in various district as well as national level competitions. 

          • Soccer

          • What is life without goals? Throughout the life of an individual, we have always been told to succeed in our Goals. Students at Wynberg-Allen love to play football. Our school team participates in various Inter-school events throughout the year. We also provide a platform for soccer players of other schools to display their skills in soccer in the highly competitive Dysen Eduljee Inter-school Soccer Tournament organised by Wynberg-Allen. 

          • Squash

          • Squash is a popular sport at Wynberg-Allen School. We have state-of-the-art squash courts, and our students take a keen interest in developing their skills in this sport. 

          • Table Tennis

          • Be like a ping pong ball, the harder they throw you; the harder you rise.  

            One of the goals of the sports programme of the school is to make the students resilient and capable of quickly recovering from any setback that comes their way. Table Tennis is one of the many games played in the school that help them to build this resilience. Our students have performed excellently well in tournaments at the state level. 

          • Swimming

          • Swimming is regarded as an essential life skill that every student must acquire. All students are therefore greatly encouraged to benefit from the excellent swimming facilities provided by the school which includes an indoor heated swimming pool with spacious changing rooms and various kinds of equipment. Many of our swimmers possess swimming skills of an exceptionally high level and have won honours for the school in swimming tournaments at the national level.

          • Athletics

          • Right from its inception, Athletics has been the most important part of the Wynberg-Allen sports programme. The students have achieved great heights in various track and field events. They have competed against other skilled athletes at the district and the state level. The school organises an Inter-house and an Inter-school Athletics Meet every year which is attended by many athletes from the leading schools of Dehradun and Mussoorie.

          • Chess

          • The game where the number of possible moves is more than the atoms in the universe. 

            Love for the game of chess in instilled in the students of Wynberg-Allen at a very young age. Children as young as nine years old understand the intricacies of this highly intellectual game. Every student's iPad has a chess app and students are often seen playing this game on campus. Apart from participating and excelling in Inter-school chess tournaments, we also host a highly competitive Inter-school Chess Tournament in which young chess players from all over India take part.  

          • Cricket

          • Cricket which almost every other Indian is passionate about is an extremely popular sport at Wynberg-Allen. Every March and April, budding young cricketers dressed in crisp white attire can be seen hitting fours and sixes on the Allen Flat with the shouts and cheers of enthusiastic spectators reverberating across the surrounding hills.
