Overview
The School is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, which is an all-India Board. The school has classes from I to XII. The academic year begins in February and the Final Examinations are conducted in November. English is the medium of instruction throughout the school. Hindi also holds a place of extremely high importance in the curriculum and every effort is made to ensure that each student attains a high standard in the language. A third language, Sanskrit, is taught in Middle School (Classes VI to VIII).
The classes take place from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM and students get time for self-study from 6:50 AM to 7:30 AM and from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Staff are always on duty to carefully monitor them during study hours.
During class hours, students study a variety of subjects which include English, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History & Civics, Psychology, Sociology, Accounts, Commerce, Economics, Computer Science, Political Science and Geography. Field trips and educational tours are often arranged for the students to enable them to acquire a better understanding of the theoretical concepts covered in class. The teachers are very approachable and encourage students to always express their views without hesitation.
The staff understand that each student is unique and is receptive to different teaching strategies. Every effort is made to cater to the individual learning needs of the students. Great emphasis is laid on inculcating self-confidence and independent thinking.
OPEN HOUSE: To make sure parents are aware of their children’s performance and to provide them with the opportunity to discuss their cares and concerns with the staff, the school conducts two open house sessions in a year.
