• Research tells us that children learn in a variety of ways. Understanding and addressing these differences helps the Academic Resource Center to be more effective in preparing students to succeed both on campus and in the world. We strive to develop our students’ comfort and confidence in the classroom while invigorating their love of learning.

          • Tutoring

          • Any student experiencing academic difficulty in any subject may be referred for tutoring services. The Academic Resource Center refers such students to the on-campus teachers during the school day. All tutors are school teachers who choose to help weak students. 

          • Technology 

          • We are committed to making sure our students have all the facilities they need to keep pace with an increasingly technologically advanced world. All classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, such as 

            1. Smart Boards

            2. Desktops   6.PowerSchool (Timetable and Report Management System) 
            3. Internet    7.PowerSchool Behaviour (Behaviour Management System) 
            4. Chrome Books and iPad (class 4 upwards for each child)   8. Three computer laboratories with a total of 135 computers 

             

          • Reading

          • Reading is taken very seriously at Wynberg-Allen School and 1 compulsory lessons in a week are devoted to reading for the entire school.

            It is designed to solidify and advance techniques that will encourage students to become more effective readers and to accept the challenge to read difficult books. 

          • Science Labs 

          • A scientist in his laboratory is not a mere technician. He is also a child confronting natural phenomena that fascinate and enthral him. 

            The practical application of knowledge is essential when it comes to science. To support the curiosity and spirit of enquiry of its science students, the school has spacious, modern and very well-equipped biology, physics and chemistry laboratories.

          • The school has a well-equipped Art Room where our amazingly talented young artists create captivating canvases in a relaxing, tranquil environment, while listening to the strains of soulful music.

          • The school library is a vibrant hub of knowledge and imagination! As you step into this inviting space, you'll be greeted by shelves filled with a vast array of books, from classic literature to contemporary tales. The air is alive with the soft rustling of pages as students explore the boundless worlds within.
